Miramar's Red vs. Blue Spring Game Classic

Spring games, with regards to me, are considered a look into the future of the teams season. I found it eminent then, to be in attendance of Miramar's inter squad showdown. Last seasons Patriot crew went 13-1, 5th in the state and 38th in the nation. Can they they continue the "Patriot Pride" legacy? Losing the luxury of most of their starters, head coach Damon Cogdell will most defnintely have to rebuild, however, he's not starting from nothing. Miramar's upcoming team is loaded with young raw talent waiting to be developed. They are looking to many Junior's and Sophomore's to fill the spots of the now gone seniors.

When speaking with Cogdell after the game he seemed confident in the abilities of his young team:

"We're young, but we're going to be good. We just have to put the puzzle together." he said.

Miramar's accepted "spokes-person"-- (for lack of a better term) -- Cameron Underwood added in that the players have to play their respective roles, and the team will come together.

The game itself was an exciting matchup between the teammates, ending in a 36-24 Blue Team victory. I'm truly excited to see where the fresh Patriot blood can take the team this upcoming season.

The top returning players include:
2013 WR Sean Avant
2013 RB Alex Lee
2013 C Michael Miranda
2013 OLB Jermaine Grace
